Bill introduced to honor Ottawa native

LIMA — State Rep. Roy Klopfenstein (R-Haviland) announced legislation to honor Staff Sargent Zachary Wobler.

The legislation Klopfenstein introduced Tuesday would name a portion of U.S. Route 127 in his memory.

Wobler, a native of Ottawa, was killed in action supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom on Feb. 6, 2005 at 24 years of age.

The proposal will get a bill number and a committee assignment next.
