Klopfenstein, Rogers present county engineer bill

COLUMBUS — Ohio State Rep. Roy Klopfenstein, R-Haviland, announced that he and Rep. Elgin Rogers, D-Toledo, introduced legislation to help fill county engineer vacancies Wednesday.

The bill would let county commissioners contract with engineers from other counties if they haven’t filled them through election or appointment and eliminate pay discrepancies for engineers who also maintain a private practice, according to the announcement.

The bill will next be given a number and committee assignment.
