COSI’s Dr. Bertley headlines Armstrong Museum fundraiser

WAPAKONETA — Center for Science and Industry President Dr. Fredric Bertley will be the keynote speaker for the Armstrong Air & Space Museum’s new Horizons fundraiser at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, March 16.

Bertly is an eight-time Emmy award-winning scientist, educator and immunologist, whose research before joining COSI in 2017 focused on the development of DNA vaccines for HIV and AIDS.

The fundraiser begins at 6:30 p.m., followed by a discussion of the upcoming solar eclipse at 7:30 p.m.

VIP guests will have the chance to meet with Bertley at 5:30 p.m. to talk about STEM education.

Proceeds benefit STEM education in economically challenged schools and clubs across the area.

Heavy hors d’oeurvres, an open bar and silent auction are included.
