UNOH students headed to ‘Work Truck Week’

INDIANAPOLIS — Six University of Northwestern Ohio students will attend the National Truck Equipment Association’s Work Truck Week in Indianapolis in March, UNOH announced via press release.

The trade show features more than 500,000 square feet of vocational trucks and equipment, as well as classes and seminars where students can interact with industry professionals and seek employment.

UNOH and the NTEA have partnered for 16 years so students can attend the trade show and assist with the convention as ambassadors, including special events like the Green Truck Summit where work trucks are run on natural gas, propane, hybrid electric and electric power, according to the release.

Students attending the convention this year are Ian Elliot, Glendale, CA; Savannah Gray, Rushville, IN; Connor Groghan, East Canton; Alexis Irick, Bellefontaine; William Prulx, Stanford, NH; and Eli Smolek, Ideville, IN.

Students were nominated by UNOH instructors and selected following an interview process.
