LIMA — Lima Public Works Director Kirk Niemeyer presented the department’s project review for 2024 to city council’s public works committee Monday night.
Niemeyer shared plans to create a reception room in the first floor of the building with a waiting area and to centralize the front desk area of the second floor.
In addition to that, the department will update carpeting and electric and paint walls on the first floor.
Niemeyer said that the department expects to have a budget of $806,000 for the project, though that could change depending on how bidding goes in March.
He expects the project to get underway in the summer.
