Schroeder appointed to Ohio Supreme Court ethics board

OTTAWA — Tony Schroeder has been appointed to the Ohio Supreme Court Board of Professional Conduct as a non-lawyer public member from the Third District Court of Appeals for a three-year term, according to a press release.

The board is a 28-member quasi-judicial body appointed by the Ohio Supreme Court to make sanctions recommendations when complaints are filed against judges and lawyers, consider the reinstatement of suspended lawyers, review financial disclosure statements and issue advisory opinions on ethical issues, among other duties.

“It’s an honor to be appointed to the Ohio Supreme Court Board of Professional Conduct,” Schroeder said in the release. “Maintaining the highest ethical standards in the legal profession is vital to protect all Ohioans and afford them the right to fair and equal justice. I am pleased to serve and contribute to this process.”

Schroeder is the owner of Kersh Insurance and chairman of the Putnam County Republican Party executive committee.
