St. Charles to host Christmas ‘Santa Social’

LIMA — St. Charles Catholic School plans to host a ‘Santa Social’ for children of all ages. The event will be held from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 9. Participants will have opportunities to enter a Christmas tree raffle, enjoy pop-up shops from different vendors, live entertainment and more.

“Everyone in the community is welcome,” Principal Megan Scheid said. “It is $1 for adults and free for children — Ten percent of the proceeds will go to our service for this Advent season, which is Allen County Council on Aging. The rest of the money will go to the parent task force used for student events and parent and teacher appreciation support. They are also hoping to do some special programming for the school including a STEM program or an arts program.”
