Flip the Switch on downtown Lima’s Christmas tree

LIMA — It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas in the city of Lima. The Lima Fire Department put up the tree to kick off the holiday season. According to the Visit Greater Lima website, the Flip the Switch event will take place in downtown Lima, in the square outside the Civic Center, from 5 until 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17. The official lighting will occur at 6:45 p.m.

There will be activities for children including bounce houses, games, and appearances from both the Grinch and Santa. Admission to the event is free.
