LIMA — Headstart is hosting an informational session for community members interested in volunteering. The event will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 18 at 540 S. Central Ave. in Lima.
“We are trying to recruit community volunteers to come into our classrooms,” Education Coordinator Janet Buchanan said. “We have early Headstart classrooms, which is birth to 3. We also have a headstart classroom which is 3 to 5-year-olds.”
Buchanan said community members can work with either age.
