LIMA — A pair of Catholic deacons have been assigned to St. Charles Borromeo Parish in Lima, according to a list of clergy appointments released by Bishop Daniel E. Thomas on Monday.
Jonathan Barfield, a permanent deacon of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston, Texas, was appointed a permanent deacon at St. Charles, effective Feb. 11. Frederick J. Wuebker, formerly a permanent deacon at All Saints Parish in Rossford, was appointed a permanent deacon at St. Charles, effective March 25.
Thomas also moved two permanent deacons in Putnam County to senior status. James A. Rump, of SS. Peter and Paul Parish in Ottawa, was granted senior status effective Nov. 12, 2022. Benjamin Valdez, of St. Mary Parish in Leipsic, was granted senior status effective Feb. 18.
