VAN WERT — The Ohio Department of Transportation is awarding a grant of over $500,000 to Van Wert as part of the department’s Transportation Alternative Program, according to a release from Ohio Rep. Roy Klopfenstein.
The grant will fund the installation of a new concrete walk along the north side of Fox Road from South Shannon Street to South Washington Street. This will connect pedestrians to an existing path around the city’s two reservoirs as well as to future paths at Hiestand Park, according to the release.
