LIMA — Lima city schools plans to honor families with the Family of the Year Award. According to a recent press release, this is the schools’ first year presenting the award. The ceremony will take place at the school board meeting on Monday. The award winners are as follows:
• Janice Jamison and James Waithe, Lima Senior High School
• Charlotte Washington, Lima Senior Alternative School
• Sarah Tobin, West Middle School
• Breezy Chilcoat, North Middle School
• Robin Idom, Liberty Arts Magnet School
• Donna Glover, South Science and Technology Magnet School
• Tracey Howard, Freedom Elementary School
• Veronica Burton and Jemal Worth, Heritage Elementary School
• Danny and Elizabeth Mundy, Independence Elementary School
• Darion Shurelds and Keiona Dysart, Unity Elementary School
