Couple donates $1 million toward Grand Event Center

CELINA — The Mercer County Fairgrounds recently received a $1 million donation toward the Grand Event Center from Dave and Danielle Buschur.

“We want to leave a lasting legacy and impact for future generations to enjoy, especially our kids,” the Buschurs said in a press release. “Our families have instilled the importance of supporting our community in any way possible, whether that would be giving to non-profit organizations or helping close neighbors if they need the support.”

The Buschurs are the owners of Buschur Custom Farm Services, D&D Truck and Trailer Service, Buschur Leasing, Bosma Poultry and Wendel Poultry Services.

The Grand Event Center is a planned 100,000-square-foot entertainment venue at the fairgrounds capable of hosting anything from livestock shows to concerts to indoor tractor pulls.
