Lima to hold public meeting for HOME grant funding

LIMA — The City of Lima will hold a public meeting for the annual housing action plan. The meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, May 22 at the City Council Chambers, 50 Town Square.

“This meeting is mainly held for non-profit organizations and public service providers that are desiring to provide services for our citizens,” said Deputy Director of Housing and Neighborhoods Carmillia Zion. “There will be a briefing to talk about that and answer any questions they may have. The applications are also online and on our website but they are due June 5. We encourage anyone interested to come out and hear more about it.”

According to a recent press release, the city is soliciting ideas from different departments and non-profit organizations. The city will utilize the ideas in a plan and apply for grants/funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
