No people or animals hurt at barn fire in Perry Township

PERRY TOWNSHIP — Perry Township firefighters, along with eight other nearby fire departments responded to a barn fire at Cool Winds Farm in the township early Monday morning.

No livestock or people were injured by the blaze, but a barn full of straw and equipment was taken down completely.

The Perry Township Fire Department said that crews did not clear the scene from when they responded from 1:45 to 8:30 a.m. and in fact returned later in the day just after noon to cool down a few hot spots remaining.

The fire department said that they are still investigating the cause of the fire and do not yet have an estimate on damage.
