SHAWNEE TOWNSHIP — One man died in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 75 Monday morning.
According to a press release from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Randy Thompson, Jr., 22, of Lima, was driving southbound in a 2010 Ford Focus near Breese Road when he traveled off the side of the road and hit a fence and tree at around 9:57 a.m. Speed appears to be a factor in the crash, and Thompson was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Lima Post of the highway patrol was assisted by Shawnee Township Fire and Emergency Medical Services, Minich’s Towing, H&H Funeral Services and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
