Greater Allen County Blues Society Open Jam
7 to 10 p.m. Thursday
It is the third Thursday of the month, which means it is time to enjoy the sweet sounds of the blues at the Greater Allen County Blues Society Open Jam from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Lima Elks Lodge #54, 302 W. North St. Hosted by the Brad Allen Jones Band and emceed by Billy Elvis, the event will be a show any blues fan will not want to miss.
Maple Syrup Festival
8 a.m. to w p.m. Saturday
Take a drive to Indian Lake State Park in Lakeview Saturday for the 37th annual Indian Lake Maple Syrup Festival and Pancake Breakfast at the park campground. A pancake and sausage breakfast will be available for $8 for adults and $4 for children under eight. Free events will include a wagon ride through the Sugar Bush, a sap extraction and syrup production demonstration, along with free samples, living history displays, live entertainment and activities for the kids.
Spring Festival of Arts and Crafts
9 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday
Craft enthusiasts will want to get to Bath High School for the Spring Festival of Arts and Crafts hosted by BSA Troop 82. Your $2 admission will get you access to a wide variety of handmade crafts and art products from vendors throughout the area. Parking will be free during the event.
Flute Joy
3 p.m. Sunday
Discover the versatility of the flute at “Flute Joy” featuring the Lima Area Concert Band Flute Choir at 3 p.m. Sunday at Trinity United Methodist Church, 301 W. Market St., Lima. This free concert will feature performances using a variety of instruments from the flute family, including the Eb flute, the alto flute, the piccolo, the C flute and the bass flute.
The StepCrew in Van Wert
3 p.m. Sunday
Dance enthusiasts will want to be in Van Wert Sunday to catch an unbelievable performance by the StepCrew at 3 p.m. Sunday at Niswonger Performing Arts Center, 10700 state Route 118, Van Wert. With music performed by world-class fiddlers along with a five-piece ensemble featuring elite musicians, this show will feature Ottawa Valley stepdance, Irish stepdance and tap that will wow old and young alike. Tickets range from $25 to $49 and are available at vanwertlive.com.
