Lima Noon Optimist Home Show

Friday, Saturday and Sunday

It is the second weekend in March, which means it is time for the Lima Noon Optimist Home Show at the Allen County Fairgrounds. Get a head start on your home improvement projects this year with a large variety of home improvement products and services gathered under one roof for your convenience. Along with the more than 100 vendors, a food booth will be available for families to enjoy sandwiches, cakes, pies and snacks. Show times are 4 to 9 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Meet the Artist

6 to 7 p.m. Friday

Riverside Art Center in downtown Wapakoneta will be hosting a meet the artist reception from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday featuring artist Mike Huffman. Huffman was been an exhibiting artist since 1974, with his work featured in exhibitions in many different parts of the country. He also spent a great deal of time in arts education, including in the Lima school district.

Lima Land Poetry Slam

7:30 p.m. Friday

It is time once again to celebrate the talents of area rappers, musicians, poets, singers and more at the Lima Land Poetry Slam, starting at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Vibe Coffeehouse, 311 E. Market St., Lima. Doors open at 7 p.m. and there is a $5 suggested donation for entry.

Spring for the STARS Vendor & Craft Fair

9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday

Support positive behavior at Elida schools while finding unique craft and gift items at the Spring for the STARS (Self-control, Teamwork, Attitude, Respect and Success) vendor and craft fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Elida Elementary School, 300 Pioneer Road, Elida. Admission is $2 for adults and free for children, and more than 75 vendors will be on hand.

Moana Jr.

2 p.m. Saturday

If you enjoyed the hit Disney movie, you will love the live stage adaptation of “Moana Jr.” coming Saturday to the Marathon Center for the Performing Arts in Findlay. This youth production will feature more than 70 students in grades three through five as cast members and working in the technical crew.
