‘Walking Across Egypt’

8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 2 p.m. Sunday

Journey with Mattie Rigsbee as she enters a world of car thefts and prison breaks, along with a juvenile delinquent, all starting from the discovery of a stray dog on her back porch. Encore Theatre, 991 N. Shore Drive, Lima, is featuring “Walking Across Egypt”, based on the Clyde Edgerton novel, at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, as well as 2 p.m. Sunday. Scrabble FUNdraiser

Noon to 3 p.m. Saturday

The Northwest Ohio Literacy Council is holding a Scrabble FUNdraiser from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church, 1300 Edgewood Drive, Lima. ‘Menopause The Musical’

3 p.m. Saturday

For over 20 years, “Menopause The Musical” has celebrated and empowered women through hilarious musical comedy showing how women have survived “The Change.” Featuring parodies from classic pop songs of the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s, this production has been entertaining audiences far and wide and is the longest-running musical in Las Vegas history. Come see it for yourself at 3 p.m. Saturday at Niswonger Performing Arts Center, 10700 state Route 118, Van Wert. Tickets range from $39 to $69 and are available at vanwertlive.com.

‘The Medal of Honor: A Second Look’

2 p.m. Sunday

Learn more about the history of one of the military’s highest honors as speaker Larry Huffman gives a lecture on the Medal of Honor. Huffman will speak at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Folsom Auditorium at the Allen County Museum, 620 W. Market St., Lima.

Winter Instrumental Concert

2 p.m. Sunday

The Bluffton University Concert Band will perform at a winter instrumental concert at 2 p.m. Sunday in Yoder Recital Hall on campus. Directed by Dr. Roy Couch, the band will perform a variety of originals and arrangements, including “Set Me As a Seal” and “Fanfare for the Common Man.” The performance is free to attend and a freewill offering will be taken.
