Warehouse sold in Celina

CELINA — L & L Distribution, Inc. sold their 106,000 square feet warehouse and warehousing operations to Robinson Investment Group of Bellefontaine for $2.7 million. The new owners specialize in third-party logistics services in the Midwest region. The future plans for Robinson Investments include expanding the building on the 10-acre site and continuing the third-party logistics operations, according to Jason Black, Vice President with Robinson Investments. It is the first time the property at 1901 Industrial Drive has a new owner since 1976.

Previous owner Randy Leistner, who worked full-time in the business since he was 18 years old, said that the sale of the property will allow him to retire. Tim Echemann of Industrial Property Brokers, a firm out of Piqua who brokered the transaction said, “The timing of the transaction was perfect for both parties because of Randy’s desire to retire and the purchaser’s desire for expansion.”

Robinson Investments began in 1970 as a real estate development company. In 1998, it expanded its business by opening a warehouse in Bellefontaine. In 2007, Robinson acquired Wright Distribution Centers in Lima that has been in operation since 1970. Robinson operates in approximately 4 million square feet of dedicated and multi-client warehouse space throughout Ohio.

All L & L Distribution employees will be hired by the new owner whose future plans include expansion and leasing the vacant 30,000 square feet of 30 foot high warehouse space. The company chose the Celina location because it fits perfectly into their footprint in western and central Ohio. Their current warehousing locations are in Van Wert, Bellefontaine, Lima and Findlay and the firm plans new construction in those communities. The company is constructing a 100,000 square foot warehouse in Van Wert.
