LIMA — The DECA Project Joy basketball game will be played this Saturday at the Lima Senior gymnasium. To commemorate the event both teams, Lima Senior and Shawnee, will be wearing Project Joy warm-up shirts during pre-game activities.
In addition there will be face painting, a photo booth and cookies made by culinary students at Lima Senior High School.
Project Joy is a student-planned program that was started to include persons with Down Syndrome. It has since been expanded to include all persons with disabilities. Past activities have included a Bingo night and participation in the Buddy Walk.
