Foundation offers book scholarship

LIMA — The Smith-Jones Family Foundation is now accepting the 2023 “Be Great” book scholarship applications. Available to all graduating seniors in Allen County, applications can be secured from Allen County high school guidance offices. Completed applications should be emailed to [email protected] by Friday, March 3, 2023.

Since 2018, the foundation has awarded just over $23,000 in total scholarship support. The $1,000 (per academic year) award is designed to help cover the ever-increasing cost of college/trade school textbooks, and is renewable for up to four years. Individual one-time awards are also available to the top finalists.

An independent selection committee will review and assess the scholarship applications, and the award finalists will be announced on Monday, April 17, 2023.

If there are any questions, please send them via email to: [email protected].
