Almost Famous Open Mic Night

The stage can be yours, at least for 10 minutes, at the Ohio Theatre’s Almost Famous Open Mic Night, held on Thursdays at 8 p.m. Whether you are a singer, a poet, a magician, a comedian or maybe even a juggler, whatever your talent, the open mic night is a great opportunity to show it off to everyone. Gift of Lights
Now through Saturday
Saturday will be the final day for the Gift of Lights holiday light display at the Auglaize County Fairgrounds in Wapakoneta. The event includes over 150 separate displays covering over a mile at the fairgrounds. Shows run from 6 to 9 p.m. on weekdays and 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $10 per carload on weekdays and $15 per carload on Saturday.
New Year’s Eve Party at the Lima Elks
6:30 p.m. Saturday
The Lima Elks Lodge will be hosting a New Year’s Eve party, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m., a buffet at 7:30 p.m. and music starting at 8:30 p.m. featuring the Turning Point Band. Your ticket, available for $25, includes the buffet, a drink ticket and a champagne toast. Tickets are available at the bar at the Lima Elks Lodge, 302 W. North St., Lima.
New Year’s Eve Party at Zinum 12
8 p.m. Saturday
Zinum 12, located at 134 W. High St. in Lima, will hold a New Year’s Eve party starting at 8 p.m. Saturday. The event will feature live DJ music, along with free champagne and party favors. Admission is free.
