Legacy Arts offers scholarships; applications sought

LIMA — Applications are now being accepted for the first round of Legacy Arts Scholarships. This program is intended to support individuals who want to use creative arts and/or entrepreneurship to serve the greater Lima community.

“Every member of Legacy Arts has found success as an artist and/or entrepreneur in the Lima region, and it’s our time to give back and encourage others to do the same,” said Marc Bowker, co-owner of Alter Ego Comics, Live at The Lab and co-founder of Legacy Arts. “We want to help others achieve their dreams while enhancing the community that we’ve all chosen to call home.”

Applicants should apply for an amount between $500-$3,000 and designate how the funds will be used to enrich the community through creative arts and/or entrepreneurship. Each scholarship recipient will also receive mentorship and promotional tools through Legacy Arts. Applications will be accepted through the end of December and award recipients will be announced by January 31, 2023.
