OSU glee clubs to perform in Lima

LIMA — The Ohio State University Men’s Glee Club and Women’s Glee Club will visit The Ohio State University at Lima for a community concert at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, November 17, 2022, in the Martha W. Farmer Theatre for the Performing Arts in Reed Hall.

The concert is free, but seating is limited. Tickets can be reserved at go.osu.edu/limaglee or by calling 567-242-7233. Tickets will be available at the Box Office in Reed Hall beginning at 6:30 p.m. on the night of the event.

High school students from around the region have been invited to sing a piece with the groups. Participants include students from Shawnee, Spencerville, Wapakoneta, Ottawa-Glandorf and New Bremen.

The Men’s Glee Club at Ohio State was organized in 1875. It is the oldest of hundreds of student organizations available to students at the university.

The Women’s Glee Club, established in 1903, strives to connect and empower women through music-making and community by challenging each to find their own voice. The Women’s Glee Club membership represents a wide variety of majors and interests, with singers ranging from freshmen to graduate students.
