LIMA — The Allen County Fairgrounds is hosting an election for directors of the Allen County Agricultural Society. The annual event will be held from 12 to 4 p.m. in the Administration office and 4 to 7 p.m. in the Youth Activities Building on Wednesday, Nov. 2. Following the election, dinner will be held at 6:30 p.m. and the meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m.
A director will be chosen from Amanda, Auglaize and Jackson Townships. In addition, a B, S and C director will be chosen. Members of the Allen County Agricultural Society interested in running must be at least 18 years old, live in Allen County or the township they hope to represent and file a petition that is signed by 10 members of the Ag Society.
To obtain a petition, visit the Administration Office north of the grandstand on the fairgrounds. It must be completed and returned by 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 26.
The office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
