Putnam County Health Dept. to host flu vaccine clinics

OTTAWA — The Putnam County Health Department will host flu vaccination clinics starting in late September for anyone age six months and older.

Clinics dates:

Sept. 26: 9 to 11:30 a.m. and 1-3:30 p.m. at the Ottawa Senior Center, 1035 E. Third St., Ottawa

Sept. 28: 9 to 11:30 a.m. and 1-4 p.m. at the Putnam County Health Department, 256 Williamstown Rd., Ottawa

Oct. 6: 2-5 p.m. by drive-thru only at the Putnam County Council on Aging, 1425 E. Fourth St., Ottawa

Oct. 14: 9-11 a.m. at the Columbus Grove VFW, 208 E. Sycamore St., Columbus Grove

Oct. 14: 2-4 p.m. at Pandora First National Bank, 102 E. Main St., Pandora

Oct. 15: 5:30-10:30 a.m. at the Kiwanis Health Fair at Ottawa-Glandorf High School, 630 Glendale Ave., Ottawa

Oct. 19: 2-5 p.m. at the Leipsic Community Center, 120 E. Main St., Leipsic

Appointments are not needed but may be made by calling 419-523-5608.

Drive-thru vaccinations will be available at all clinics for those with mobility issues.

Flu shots are covered by most insurances, including Medicare and Medicaid. A limited amount of free flu shots will be available to those with no insurance who are unable to pay. The pediatric flu shot is $10 without insurance; the adult flu vaccine is $35 and the high-dose vaccine is $77 without insurance.
