Bath School Board working on projects list

BATH TOWNSHIP — The Bath Board of Education met and approved a number of items before going into executive session.

The board discussed projects that would be permanent improvements throughout the district. The idea is to make a list of projects and their expected lifespans so that monies may be allotted for the completion of each project. No money was allotted for projects at this time. The board is just working on developing a list.

Superintendent Rich Dackin submitted a list of classified and certified recommendations for hiring. The board approved them.

The treasurer’s report was then approved, followed by the superintendent’s report, which was also approved.

The superintendent’s report was presented. One item allows the superintendent to cancel or delay school when necessary. The superintendent also asked the board to approve bus routes for the school year. Student handbooks for the schools were approved by the board as well.

Looking toward the beginning of school, Superintendent Dackin commented, “We are staffed. We are still looking for some tutors and aides but for the most part, we are fully staffed and excited about the school year.”
