Nutrien appoints Seitz as company president

SASKATOON, Canada — The Nutrien Ltd. Board of Directors appointed Ken Seitz as the company’s president and CEO Monday, according to a release from the company.

Seitz had served as interim CEO of the Saskatchewan, Canada-based company since January, bringing “more than 25 years of global management experience working across more than 60 countries, with deep experience in agriculture and mining sectors,” according to the release.

“Growing up on a dairy farm in Saskatchewan, I am honored and humbled to work alongside growers during these challenging times today and going forward,” Seitz said in a statement. “Nutrien is extremely well positioned to help meet the global goals of food security and climate action.”

Along with a nitrogen facility in Lima, Nutrien is, according to its website, “the world’s largest provider of crop inputs and services,” producing and distributing 27 million tonnes of potash, nitrogen and phosphate products around the world.
