Ozone Alert issued for Allen County

LIMA — Tom Berger, Director of Homeland Security, has issued an ozone alert for Allen County on July 6. An ozone alert issues a warning to those within the county that there is an excessive amount of ozone pollution.

The alert will begin at 8 a.m. and ends at 6 p.m. During the alert citizens are encouraged to carpool to their destination with a friend; walk or ride a bike on short trips; park in shaded areas; delay mowing until after 6 p.m. and avoid cooking over charcoal during this time.
