LIMA — Members of the Lima community will have the opportunity to meet Captains Phillip and Charity Bender, new officers for the Salvation Army Citadel, during services Sunday at the Lima Corps and Worship Center, 614 E. Market St., Lima.
Formerly stationed in Huntingdon, Pa., the Benders took charge of the Lima Salvation Army on June 29. After more than eight years serving the Lima/Allen County community, Majors Jeff and Debbie Stacy have been reassigned to The Salvation Army in Springfield.
“We are excited to meet the Lima community and see what God has in store,” Charity Bender said.
A prayer meeting will begin at 9 a.m. Sunday at the worship center, with Sunday school at 10 a.m. and the worship service at 11 a.m.
