St. Rita’s earns ‘A’ from national safety watchdog

LIMA — Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center has earned an “A” rating from the Leapfrog Group, a hospital watchdog organization that assigns A-F grades to hospitals for how well they prevent errors, injuries, infections and other harms.

This is the 10th consecutive time St. Rita’s has earned an A from the group.

“We’re extremely pleased that St. Rita’s is once again being recognized for providing the best care in the country,” Ronda Lehman, president of Mercy Health-Lima, said in a press release on Tuesday. “Receiving this designation signifies our commitment to quality healthcare. I’m so proud of and grateful for the hard-working and dedicated staff who make it possible.”
