LIMA — Applications for becoming Lima’s first poet laureate are due Nov. 1. They can be found at ArtSpace/Lima, 65 Town Square, or on the organization’s website at www.artspacelima.com
Lima City Council had approved the position of a poet laureate back in April to promote the art of poetry and encourage literacy in the city. Those in the position will create projects during the two-year term and engage with local constituents by promoting poetry through public appearances, readings, workshops and social media.
