Road construction and maintenance projects

ALLEN COUNTY

Interstate 75 between Napoleon Road and state Route 235, just south of the village of Beaverdam to three miles north of the village of Bluffton, in Allen and Hancock counties, will experience lane restrictions and ramp closures for paving and reconstruction through November 2020. Bentley Road entrance ramp to I-75 southbound will close July 6 for five days.

Detour: I-75 north to SR 103 to I-75 south.

Bentley Road exit ramp from I-75 northbound will close July 6 for five days.

Detour: I-75 north to SR 103 to I-75 south to Bentley road.

SR 696 exit ramp from I-75 southbound will close July 6 for 14 days.

Detour: I-75 south to Bluelick Rd. to I-75 north to SR 696.

SR 696 entrance ramp to I-75 southbound will close July 12 for 14 days.

Detour: I-75 north to SR103/Bentley Rd. to I-75 south.

Lane restrictions will occur between Napoleon Rd. and SR 235.

At SR 696 at Beaverdam one lane of I-75 southbound traffic is shifted onto the northbound side of the highway.

U.S. 30 westbound between Fifth Street at the city of Delphos and State Route 65 near the village of Cairo, will have lane restrictions for pavement repairs. The work will be performed by the ODOT Allen County maintenance garage.

State Route 65/Elm Street and Pine Street at their intersection in the city of Lima will close June 1 for replacement of the bridges over the Ottawa River. Completion is expected in late fall 2020. The work will be performed by Miller Brothers Construction, Archbold. Visit the project page for more information.

Elm Street and Pine Street intersection is closed at the bridges.

Eastbound detour: Central Ave. to Market St. to Bellefontaine Ave (SR 309/SR 117).

Westbound detour: Bellefontaine Ave (SR 309/ SR 117) to Market St. to S. Union St.

State Route 65/Elm Street and Pine Street at their intersection in the city of Lima will close June 1 for replacement of the bridges over the Ottawa River. Completion is expected in late fall 2020. Elm Street and Pine Street, the full intersection, will close on July 6 for approximately 24 days for beam removal and beam setting.

Elm Street and Pine Street intersection is closed at the bridges.

Eastbound detour: Central Ave. to Market St. to Bellefontaine Ave (SR 309/SR 117).

Westbound detour: Bellefontaine Ave (SR 309/ SR 117) to Market St. to S. Union St.

State Route 81 over the Ottawa River approximately two miles east of the city of Lima is closed for a bridge deck replacement through July 2020. Miller Brother Construction, Inc., Archbold, serves as the general contractor.

Sandusky Road at SR 81 will close June 15 through approximately July 10.

Detour: I-75 to SR 309 to SR 235 back to SR 81

Local detour to Proctor & Gamble:

From west SR 81, turn right at the Roush Rd. stoplight, then proceed left on Reservoir Rd., left on Thayer Rd. No trucks will be permitted past Roush Rd. The Ohio State Highway Patrol will be monitoring the route and issuing tickets to violators.

From east SR 81 to Thayer Rd. to Reservoir Rd.

State Route 117 (Shawnee Road) between Garden Boulevard and Cable Road, in the city of Lima, will be close June 22 for approximately 45 days for bridge maintenance and repair. Complete General Construction Co., Columbus, will be the general contractor.

Detour: Eastown Road to Elm Street to Woodlawn Avenue (SR 117)

State Route 117 (Elm Street) between Woodlawn Avenue and Pine Street, in the city of Lima, will have lane restrictions for paving operations. The Shelley Company, Findlay, serves as general contractor.

AUGLAIZE COUNTY

State Route 219 Bridge Repairs – SR 219 will experience lane restrictions between East Street and Newcomer Lane, in each direction, on Monday, June 8 through Wednesday, July 22 from 6 a.m. – 5 p.m. for bridgework.

HANCOCK COUNTY

I-75 Widening and Reconstruction in the city of Findlay: The project to reconstruct and widen I-75 through the city of Findlay beginning just south of Harrison Street/County Road 144, which is just south of the U.S. Route 68/state Route 15 interchange, to the County Road 99 interchange, is entering its fourth and final year. Construction on the following ramps will continue until late fall.

I-75 northbound to U.S. 68/state Route 15

I-75 northbound to Lima Avenue

S. 68/state Route 15 to I-75 southbound

Lima Avenue to I-75 southbound

Detour: I-75 to the state Route 12 back on I-75 southbound.

Between the south end of the project to the U.S. 68/state Route 15 interchange, all four lanes will continue to travel the southbound side until late summer. Two lanes will be maintained in both directions the majority of the time.

U.S. 68 at state Route 15, south of the city of Findlay, closed March 16 for approximately four months for a bridge deck replacement. Ramps at the interchange will remain open. Work is being performed by Vernon Nagel, Inc., Napoleon. Visit the project page for more information.

CR 8 and CR 180 will be limited to right turns only at their intersections with SR 15. Through traffic on the county roads will not be able to cross SR 15. Traffic will not be able to turn left onto or off SR 15.

SR 15 will be maintained under the bridge. Periodic lane closures may be necessary.

S. 68 Detour:

U.S. 68 northbound traffic will be detoured onto SR 15 eastbound to SR 37 to SR 15 westbound back to U.S. 68.

Main Street southbound traffic will be detoured onto U.S. 68 north/SR 15 west to I-75 northbound to SR 12 to I-75 southbound back to U.S. 68.

S. 68 southbound traffic will not be impacted.

U.S. 68 within the village of Arlington

U.S. 68 from the bridge over Buck Run to just north of Wardwell Street, within the village of Arlington, will close May 4 for approximately four months for a reconstruction project.

U.S. 68 between Liberty Street and the southern corporation limit, within the village of Arlington, will close May 18 for approximately four months for a reconstruction project.

Northbound detour: U.S. 30 to SR 235 to I-75 back to U.S. 68.

Southbound detour: SR 15 to U.S. 23 to U.S. 30 back to U.S. 68.

U.S. 68 resurfacing, between the city of Findlay in Hancock County and the city of Kenton in Hardin County, excluding the villages of Arlington and Dunkirk began Mar. 30. Traffic will be maintained through the work zone. Strawser Construction Inc., Columbus, serves as the general contractor. Estimated completion: Fall 2020. State Route 37 between State Route 15 and U.S. 30, south of Findlay, will be restricted through the work zone for pavement repairs. The work is being performed by the ODOT Hancock County maintenance garage.

State Route 37 over Lynn Creek, between Township Road 149 and Township 147, just south of Riverdale High School will close July 13 for approximately 30 days for a culvert replacement. Miller Contracting Group, Inc., Ottoville, is the general contractor.

Detour: SR 103 to U.S. 23 to U.S. 30 back to SR 37.

HARDIN COUNTY

U.S. 68 resurfacing between Findlay and Kenton, excluding the villages of Arlington and Dunkirk, will restricted to one lane through the work zone for resurfacing. Strawser Construction Inc., Columbus, serves as the general contractor. Estimated completion: Fall 2020. Visit the project page for more information.

State Route 68/Detroit Street within the city of Kenton, from Harris Street to state Route 67/Epsy Street, will have lane restrictions within the work zone for resurfacing. Shelly Company, Findlay serves as the general contractor.

U.S. 68 (Detroit Street) between Ohio Street and the railroad crossing, within the city of Kenton will be restricted for water and sewer line work for approximately three weeks. OHM Advisors, Columbus, serves as the general contractor.

Detour:S. 68 southbound, left onto Carroll St., right onto SR 31 (Main Street), right onto Letson Ave., back to U.S. 68.

Detour:S. 68 northbound, right onto Letson Ave., left onto SR 31 (Main Street), left onto Carrol St., back to U.S. 68.

State Route 67 between the city of Kenton and State Route 235, near the village of Roundhead, will have lane restrictions within the work zone for a resurfacing project. Shelly Company, Findlay serves as the general contractor.

Lincoln Street/township Road 44 within the village of Ada, between Klingler Road and Union Street, will close for approximately 160 days on Apr. 20 for roadway reconstruction including storm sewer, water main, curb and gutter, and sidewalk. Beaverdam Excavating Inc., Beaverdam, serves as the general contractor.

Southern Detour: Main Street/SR 235 to Lima Avenue/TR 50 to Klinger Road/CR 35.

Northern Detour: Main Street/SR 235 to W. North Avenue/SR 81 to Klinger Road/CR 35.

Access to Ada Medical and Diagnostic Center will be maintained at all times.

PUTNAM COUNTY

U.S. 30 between State Route 66 and State Route 190, near Delphos, will have lane restrictions beginning June 22 for drainage repairs. Shelly Company, Findlay, is the general contractor.

U.S. 224 between State Route 65 within the village of Ottawa and the Hancock County line will be restricted through the work zone for pavement repairs. The work will be performed by the ODOT Putnam County maintenance garage.

State Route 65 between Williamstown Road (Road K-6) and Second Street, just south of the village of Ottawa, on both sides of the bridge over the Blanchard River will be restricted through the work zone for pavement repairs. The work will be performed by the ODOT Putnam County maintenance garage.

State Route 634 between County Highway N and Township Road N-22, near the area of Muntanna, will close July 20 for a culvert replacement. The work will be performed by the ODOT Putnam County maintenance garage.

Detour: U.S. 224 to SR 66 to SR 114 back to SR 634.

SHELBY COUNTY

Interstate 75 Bridge Repairs – I-75 will experience nightly lane restrictions between State Route 47 and County Road 25A, in each direction, on Monday, June 22 through Friday, July 17. Traffic will be maintained throughout the work zone.

Interstate 75 Resurfacing – expect nightly lane restrictions on I-75 between SR 274 and U.S. 33, in each direction, on Sunday, June 28 through Friday, July 24, from 8:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m. Traffic will be maintained.

VAN WERT COUNTY

State Route 49 between the village of Willshire and U.S. 224 will be restricted through the work zone for chip seal operations. The work will be performed by the ODOT Van Wert County maintenance garage.

State Route 117 between the Mercer County line and the Allen County line will be restricted through the work zone for chip seal operations. The work will be performed by the ODOT Van Wert County maintenance garage.

State Route 81 between State Route 116 and Township Road 199, near Spencerville, will close on June 29 for 30 days for a culvert replacement. The work will be performed by Vernon, Nagel, Inc., Napoleon.

Detour: SR 116 to SR 117 to SR 66 back to SR 81.

State Route 697 between State Route 116/Ringwald Road and the city of Delphos will close July 6 for five days for chip seal operations. Work will be performed by the ODOT Van Wert County maintenance garage.

Detour: SR 116 to SR 117 to SR 66 back to SR 697.

Jefferson Street between Main Street and Crawford Street, just south of Central Avenue in the city of Van Wert will close on May 11 for approximately 90 days for a bridge replacement. The work will be performed by Eagle Bridge Co., Sidney.

Detour: Main St. to Jefferson St. to Central Street to Washington Street to Crawford Street.
