Arrest warrants issued in Lima double homicide

LIMA — Felony warrants have been issued for the arrest of two individuals identified by police as persons of interest in a double homicide Wednesday morning in Lima.

Lima police announced Friday that warrants have been issued for Lima residents Clinton Owens Jr., 32, on a charge of having weapons under disability, and Michelle Alves, 31, for murder.

The Lima Police Department responded to a call at 8:15 a.m. Wednesday to 413 S. Atlantic Ave. in response to shots fired. According to LPD Detective Steve Stechschulte, Tarissa Sanders, 38, and Charles Sanders, 43, both of Lima, died of gunshot wounds suffered during a shooting that took place at that address.

Tarissa Sanders was pronounced dead at the scene and Charles Sanders was transported to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
