April declared Sexual Assault Awareness Month

LIMA — Lima Mayor David Berger declared April Sexual Assault Awareness Month.

The purpose of the month is to foster mindfulness about the realities of sexual violence within our community, enhance survivor support and celebrate the strength and resilience of survivors.

To celebrate, Crime Victim Services is encouraging community members to participate in Wear Teal Day on Tuesday, April 7, and Denim Day on Wednesday, April 29. Post a picture to your social media or tag them to show support for survivors.
