Lima police investigate stabbing near Sugar and Catalpa Streets

LIMA — Police are investigating a stabbing which was reported at 4:50 p.m. Wednesday in the area of Catalpa and Sugar Streets.

While officers were on the way to the scene, witnesses advised a vehicle driven by the suspect with a passenger in the back seat flee the scene.

Officers located and stopped the vehicle and found Deandria Watkins, 31, had been stabbed multiple times. Watkins was transported to Lima Memorial Health System for treatment.

The driver, Keith Watts, 60, of Lima, was charged with suspicion of felonious assault. He’s in the Allen County Jail.
