Man faces drug charges after search of Delphos apartment

DELPHOS — Charges related to the alleged sale of narcotics are pending against a Delphos man following an investigation by the Delphos Police Department, with assistance from the West Central Ohio Crime Task Force.

According to a prepared statement, the Delphos Police Department reportedly had received complaints of alleged illegal drug sales coming from an apartment at 1010 Lima Avenue in Delphos. During an investigation into those complaints, investigators made contact Thursday with Brice A. Metzger, 18, who resided in Apartment 2 at the complex.

While speaking with Metzger, investigators reportedly smelled the odor of marijuana coming from the apartment. A search warrant was obtained for the residence and approximately 582 grams of marijuana were recovered, along with $3.900 in U.S. currency and a handgun.

Metzger was not arrested for the marijuana and charges will be presented to the Allen County Grand Jury at a later date, according to the statement from the West Central Ohio Crime Task Force.
