Hundreds run through downtown Cleveland in their underwear for charity

CLEVELAND — More than 400 runners braved the freezing temperatures in downtown Cleveland Saturday afternoon as they took part in the Cupid’s Undie Run to help raise money in the fight against neurofibromatosis (NF).

The event was held in 20 different cities around the country on Saturday, including Cleveland where it was about 29 degrees at race time, as well as Miami Beach, where it was 79 degrees, and a host of other cities. The event was started in 2010 in Washington D.C. and has raised $14.5 million since then. In all, 30 cities around the country hold the annual run.

The race kicked off inside the House of Blues where there was dancing, food and drink before the race, all in hopes of warming up the runners before race time.
