St. Marys group gifts $9K to JTDMH

ST. MARYS — The St. Marys chapter of the Ohio Child Conservation League (OCCL) has gifted more than $9,000 to help purchase two new bassinets for the birthing center and two glider chairs for the ambulatory surgery center at the Joint Township District Memorial Hospital (JTDMH).

The funds will aid JTDMH’s efforts to replace all bassinets currently in use with an updated design that makes it easier for mothers to hold their newborns. The new glider chairs allow parents to hold and rock their children during the recovery phase after surgery.

“We are honored to receive this gift, and we thank the Ohio Child Conservation League for supporting the needs of children in our community,” JTD Hospital Foundation Executive Director Linda Haines said.
