Real Wheels: Elida resident enjoys spending time reminiscing in his grandpa’s 1973 Ford truck

ELIDA — Jeff Martz, of Elida, has wonderful memories of spending time with his grandfather as a youth in this 1973 Ford one-ton pickup. Now he owns it and is taking great care of it. Martz has owned it for three years now.

Martz’s grandfather, Jess Martz, purchased the truck used in 1975. His father owned it and then handed the truck down to Jeff.

Martz has added a garage at his home to keep the truck in. He spent time cleaning it up and having some minor repairs done. The truck has the original paint and the majority of its original parts. Martz says it runs great and is very enjoyable to get out and cruise the countryside of Cairo and Gomer.

Martz has memories of riding with his grandfather, who hauled and sold machinery from the truck.
