Lima pizza delivery man accosted; thieves get only pizza

LIMA — A pizza delivery man was robbed Monday evening, but all the thieves wanted was pizza.

According to a report from the Lima Police Department, Scott Dietz was delivering a pizza for Bella Notta’s Pizza, 662 S. Main St., to a residence in the 800 block of Broadway Street when he was accosted by an unspecified number of individuals.

The attackers were unarmed, according to the report, and forcibly took two pizzas, a two-liter soft drink and the warming bag in which pizzas are delivered.

Dietz was uninjured, and the investigation into the incident continues.
