LIMA — After approving an update to Lima’s Community Development Block Grant consolidated plan, Lima City Council will vote on entering into various CDBG and HOME grant funded contracts during its regular meeting, scheduled for 7 p.m. Monday at the Lima Municipal Building.
In two letters to Lima City Council, Community Development Director Susan Crotty outlined the 10 total projects set to be funded through these grants, five through CDBG and five through HOME.
HOME funded projects include:
•$355,357 to New Lima Housing for the Future for two new senior rental units near the Shirley Daley Senior Village on Spring Street.
•$133,926 to West Ohio Community Action Partnership to fund closing assistance costs for the First Home Lima down payment program, aiding 37 low- and moderate-income households.
•$15,000 to New Lima Housing for the Future for First Home Lima and housing counseling administrative support.
•$13,367 to New Lima Housing for the Future for community housing development organization operating funds.
•$10,000 to New Lima Housing for the Future for housing property maintenance training, aiding 25 low- and moderate-income households
The CDBG funded projects are:
•$66,324 to the Bradfield Center for a senior citizen and youth health and wellness program serving 75 low- and moderate-income seniors and 25 youth.
•$25,201 to WOCAP for housing counseling services for 60 low- and moderate-income households.
•$25,000 to WOCAP for fair housing services for 250 low- and moderate-income households.
•$12,633 to the Family Resource Center for facility improvements to help serve 1,010 low- and moderate-income individuals.
•$7,000 to Rhodes State College for the Career Pathways in Advanced Manufacturing program, serving 25 low- and moderate-income residents.
