Tim Horton’s crash hurts 1 in Lima

LIMA — A Friday morning accident in Lima reportedly sent one person to an area hospital with injuries, but authorities who investigated the accident did not provide any additional information by late afternoon.

According to a spokesman for the Allen County Sheriff’s Office, the department’s 911 dispatch center received a call at 7:33 a.m. Friday regarding an accident on Elida Road. American Township police were dispatched to the scene, which reportedly was at the Tim Horton’s restaurant on Elida Road.

A car had crashed into the outdoor seating area at the restaurant. It is unknown if anyone was seated outdoors in the area of the crash.

Repeated attempts to contact American Township authorities for additional information were unsuccessful, and a voice mail message left seeking comment was not returned.
