Motorcycle crash kills driver

SIDNEY — A motorcyclist is dead after an early morning crash Sunday in Shelby County.

At 12:38 a.m., the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a motorcycle accident at 4822 Tawawa Maplewood Road. The driver, 32-year-old Justin Lee Withrow, was driving a 2000 Harley Davidson motorcycle northbound.

Withrow then failed to negotiate a left-hand curve, traveling off the right side of the road and into a private driveway, striking a parked trailer. The driver was ejected from the motorcycle as a result of the crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to the sheriff’s office, speed and alcohol are believed to be factors in the crash.
