No suspects yet in Lima homicide

LIMA — The Lima Police Department is continuing to follow up on leads in the investigation into the shooting death of Shannon T. Scott Sr., 47, who was found dead Sunday in his living room at 621 Michael Ave., Lima.

“We’re continuing to follow up on leads, but we don’t have any persons of interest at this time,” Lima Police Detective Sean Neidemire said.

Neidemire said that the department is still accepting information related to the case from the public. Anyone with information is encouraged to call 419-221-5295.

Scott’s obituary described him as a born-again Christian baptized under the Rev. C.M. Manley who loved the Pittsburgh Steelers, fishing, cooking and barbecuing. The obituary noted he was a dependable and loving person who always smiled.

Visitation is scheduled for 10 a.m. to noon Monday at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Eastside Chapel. Funeral services are scheduled for noon Monday.
