LIMA — Two people were taken to St. Rita’s Medical Center by American Township Fire and Rescue after a two-vehicle accident at 8:15 p.m. Thursday in front of Buffalo Wild Wings on Allentown Road.
The American Township Police Department traffic report states Daniel Whitaker, 66, was driving a 2000 Chevy Corvette west on state Route 81. Craig L. Hart, 66, of Wapakoneta, was driving a 2017 Buick Enclave. Hart was stopped for traffic on state Route 81 attempting a left turn into the driveway of Buffalo Wild Wings. Hart drove into the path of Whitaker, damaging the front of both vehicles. They were towed by Ables Towing.
Both Daniel Whitaker and his occupant, Jeanice Whitaker were wearing their seatbelts, and were taken to St. Rita’s Medical Center, where they were treated and released.
Hart was cited for failure to yield the right of way when turning left.
