March 27

Frances Wilhelm, 66, 402 W. Main St., Napoleon, found not guilty by reason of insanity, was ordered institutionalized at Northwest Ohio Psychiatric Hospital, Toledo, for between 60 days and up to six months for ongoing evaluation and treatment until further order of the court. She was originally charged with felonious assault and attempted murder.

Eric J. Guerra, 30, 25 W. Mathias St., Leipsic, was placed on three years community control for violating the terms of supervision. The violations include acting in a disorderly manner in Toledo Sept. 15, consuming alcohol, operating a motor vehicle under the influence and without proper registration Sept.17 in McComb. He must not consume alcohol, undergo alcohol assessment and treatment, not enter any establishment that sells alcohol, maintain employment, take prescribed medications as directed and have no contact with the victim. He was originally convicted of domestic violence (prior offense).

Matthew J. Hickle, 21, Lebanon, was granted judicial release and ordered to complete the program at the WORTH Center. He was placed on three years community control and must obtain employment upon release. He was originally charged with felonious assault.

Melissa M. Halker, 37, 2868 Stelzer Road, Columbus, was remanded to the WORTH Center for violating the terms of supervision. The violations include using heroin on multiple occasions, changing her address on Feb. 2 without permission and failing to undergo drug and alcohol assessment. She was placed on three years community control, must have only one medical provider, one pharmacy, not consume alcohol and obtain employment. The sentence was ordered concurrent to a Hardin County case. Halker was originally convicted of possession of drugs.

Daniel J. Stauffer, 22, 7644 Road 15-C, Ottawa, was sentenced to the WORTH Center for possession of drugs (cocaine). He was placed on three years community control, must obtain employment, pay $2,145 restitution to victim, have only one medical care provider and one pharmacy. He was given credit for 35 days served. He also was remanded to the WORTH Center for violating the terms of supervision. The violations include using cocaine and possessing drug paraphernalia Sept. 30, using cocaine on more than one occasion and using marijuana on more than one occasion during September and failing to attend substance abuse counseling. He was originally convicted of grand theft of a motor vehicle.

March 28

Brent T. Burns, 35, 447 Appian Ave., Napoleon, pleaded guilty to grand theft of a motor vehicle. He faces up to 18 months in prison and $5,000 in fines. Bond was continued while a presentence investigation is conducted with sentencing set for 2:30 p.m. April 12.

Amberlynn R. Parker, 32, 1292 E. Main St., Ottawa, pleaded guilty to domestic violence (prior conviction). She faces up to 18 months in prison and $5,000 in fines. Bond was continued with condition that she has no contact with victim while a pre-sentence investigation is conducted with sentencing set for 10:30 a.m. April 28.

March 29

Scott J. Miller, 52, 937 Washington St., Defiance, pleaded guilty to aggravated possession of drugs (methamphetamine). He faces up to 12 months in prison, and $2,500 in fines. He also pleaded guilty to pleaded guilty to aggravated possession of drugs (methamphetamine) defacing identification marks firearm and having weapon under disability. He faces up to 54 months in prison, $13,500 in fines. Bond was continued while a pre-sentence investigation is conducted with sentencing set for 11 a.m. April 26.

Amber Hooter, 32, 632 Holmes Ave., Lima, was sentenced to 10 days jail for failing to pay child support. She was found to be in total arrears in the amount of $14,486.02 as of Feb. 28. The jail was suspended provided she remain current in her payments.

Troy A. Hyman, 45, 557 Pleasant Drive, Warren, Pa., was sentenced to 10 days jail for failing to pay child support. He was in total arrears in the amount of $5,260.27 as of Feb. 28. The jail was suspended provided he remain current on his child support payments.

Joseph N. Chandler, 32, Marion, was granted judicial release. He was placed on three years community control. He must undergo drug and alcohol assessment, maintain employment, have only one medical provider and one pharmacy. He was originally convicted of burglary.

March 30

Michelle M. Oler, 30, 423 E. Sycamore St., Columbus Grove, was sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 160 days suspended, for receiving stolen property. She was given credit for 16 days served and placed on two years probation. She must complete counseling at Pathways Counseling Center, obtain employment and maintain only one pharmacy.

Sara E. Storer, 40, 600 W. Sycamore St., Columbus Grove, was sentenced to 365 days in jail for violating the terms of supervision. The violations include failing to report to her supervisor on Jan. 26 and changing her residence Jan. 26 without permission. She was given credit for 357 days served. She was convicted of possession of heroin.

Putnam County Municipal Court dispositions

March 23

John R. Cisneros, 47, 5810 Gray Road, Fairfield, charged with drug abuse/possession, a felony, bound over to common pleas court.

Monto J. Mumea, 63, 501 W. Sugar St., Continental, pleaded guilty to drug abuse/possession. Sentence: $150 fine. He was also fined $150 for drug paraphernalia.

March 27

Shawn P. Budd, 39, address NA, charged with rape, a felony, bound over to common pleas court.

Roberto Barraza, Jr., 31, 1283 N. Defiance St., Ottawa, pleaded guilty to driving under suspension child support. Sentence: $350 fine. He was also fined $50 for marked lanes.

Austin L. Geckle, 23, 500 N. Sixth St., Lot 2, Continental, pleaded guilty to telecommunication harassment. Sentence: 180 days jail, suspended, $250 fine, 80 hours community service and no contact with victim for two years.

March 30

Austin J. Bueter, 24, 9475 Dover Drive, Wauseon, pleaded guilty to carrying a concealed weapon. Sentence: 180 days jail, suspended and $300 fine.

Ryan D. Jaeger, 25, 508 N. Rosedale Ave., Lima, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of no operator’s license. Sentence: $150 fine. A charge of expired plates was dismissed.
