LIMA — Area youth excelled at the 2017 Ohio Beef Expo held in Marysville on March 19. The annual show spotlighted more than 800 steers and heifers.
In the Breeding Heifers category, Justin Siefker, of Allen County, garnered a fifth overall place with his champion Angus, and Delaney Jones won seventh overall with the reserve champion Angus.
Justin Siefker won champion Angus; Delaney Jones won Reserve Angus; Caitlin Schaub won Champion High Percentage Maine; Bailey Wagner, of Hardin County won with Reserve High Percentage Maine; and Hanna Schroeder, of Putnam County won with Champion Low Percentage AOB.
In the Market Animals category, Addison Jones, of Allen County won Grand Champion, Champion Crossbred, Division III Champion; Elizabeth Heintz, of Auglaize County, won fourth overall in the category and took third overall Crossbred, Reserve Division III Crossbred; Callie Daniels, of Allen County took Reserve Division I Crossbred; Addison Jones, of Allen County took Champion Division III Crossbred; Addison Jones, of Allen County received Champion Crossbred, Division III Champion; and Elizabeth Heintz, of Auglaize County, won third overall Crossbred, Reserve Division III.
