Person arrested in Lima stabbing

LIMA — The Lima Police Department was dispatched to a stabbing shortly after 7 p.m Sunday on the second floor at 760 E. Fourth St.

According to a report, a verbal altercation became violent, when Ferlando Tubbs, 37, of Lima, stabbed Joshua King, 28, of Chicago, in the neck with a kitchen carving knife. When officers arrived, King was found on the floor in the hallway bleeding from the neck.

King was taken to Lima Memorial Health System for treatment. Tubbs was located and stopped, driving away from the area, and taken into custody.

Tubbs was being held at the Allen County Jail on a charge of felonious assault. King’s condition was unavailable late Sunday.
